1. Acceptance of these terms

These Legal Terms (“Terms”) govern your use of beorpanecha.org and any related pages, videos, divrei Torah, newsletters, memberships and services (together, the “Service”) provided by Beor Panecha (“Beor Panecha,” “we,” “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Using our content

All videos, divrei Torah, articles, PDFs, graphics, logos and other materials on the Service are owned by Beor Panecha or J.S. Silverstein, or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws.

You are welcome to:

• Watch, read and download our content for your own personal, non-commercial learning.
• Print divrei Torah to share at your Shabbos table, in your shul or in a class, as long as the content is unchanged and credited to Beor Panecha.
• Share links to our pages and videos.

Without our written permission, you may not sell, republish, modify, or commercially distribute our content, remove copyright or attribution notices, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you. For permission requests, email info@beorpanecha.org.

Our videos are hosted on YouTube, and your use of them is also subject to YouTube’s terms of service.

3. Beor Panecha+ membership

Beor Panecha+ is a paid membership that gives access to premium content. When membership is available:

• Billing. Memberships are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis at the price shown at checkout. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; we do not store your full card details.
• Automatic renewal. Your membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then.
• Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods. If something went wrong, contact us and we’ll do our best to make it right.
• Price changes. We may change membership prices. We’ll notify you in advance, and the new price will apply starting with your next billing period.
• Personal use. Memberships are for one person. Please do not share your login or redistribute premium content.

Joining the waitlist is free and does not commit you to purchase a membership.

4. Donations and sponsorships

Donations to Beor Panecha are voluntary and are generally non-refundable. Donations are not tax-deductible at this time. We will update these Terms if that changes.

When you sponsor a month, we will display your dedication on the Service during that month. We reserve the right to edit dedications for length and to decline any sponsorship or dedication at our discretion, in which case any payment for it will be refunded.

5. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter or join the Beor Panecha+ waitlist, we’ll send you updates about new content and launches. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Our newsletter is delivered through Mailchimp.

6. Conduct

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, scraping or bulk-downloading content, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

7. Third-party services and links

The Service relies on and links to third-party services such as YouTube, form providers, font providers and payment processors. We are not responsible for their content, policies or practices, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

8. Educational purpose

Our content is provided for educational and inspirational purposes. It is not a halachic ruling. For questions of practical halacha, please consult your rabbi.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beor Panecha and its directors, volunteers and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and cookies, and forms part of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
