Bar / bat mitzvah

A bar mitzvah is at 13 and a bat mitzvah at 12, on the Hebrew birthday. The parsha is the one read on the Shabbos on or after it.

The sky that night

Every star to the fifth magnitude above the horizon at the minute and place of birth, the moon where it stood in its real phase, and the main constellations traced in gold.

The mazal of the month

Each Hebrew month has its mazal, in the order of Sefer Yetzirah: Nisan, טלה; Iyar, שור; Sivan, תאומים — through Adar, דגים. The poster names the mazal of the birth month and draws its stars.

The parsha

The Hebrew birthday follows the Jewish calendar (born in Adar of a regular year, the birthday falls in Adar II of a leap year), with the opening pasuk of the parsha read that Shabbos.
