Privacy Policy

Beor Panecha (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use beorpanecha.org and our related services (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep what we collect to a minimum, and we never sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us.

• Newsletter and waitlist. Your email address, and anything else you choose to enter, when you subscribe to our newsletter or join the Beor Panecha+ waitlist.
• Messages. Your name, email address and the content of your message when you email us.
• Donations and sponsorships. Your name, contact details, the amount you give, and any dedication text you ask us to display.
• Beor Panecha+ membership (when available). Your name, email address, login details and billing information. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not receive or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. We do not currently use analytics or advertising trackers.

2. How we use your information

• To send you the newsletter and updates you signed up for, including Beor Panecha+ launch news.
• To respond to your messages and requests.
• To process donations, sponsorships and memberships, send receipts, and display sponsorship dedications you ask us to publish.
• To provide, secure and improve the Service.
• To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers who help us run the Service (such as our email and form provider, website host and payment processor), only as needed to provide their services to us.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Beor Panecha or others.
• With your consent, such as when you ask us to display a sponsorship dedication.

4. Third-party services

Parts of the Service are provided by third parties that may collect information directly under their own privacy policies:

• YouTube (Google) plays our videos. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and a video only loads when you choose to play it.
• Mailchimp (Intuit) stores our email list and sends our newsletter. Mailchimp may record whether you open our emails or click their links.
• Adobe Fonts and Google Fonts deliver the fonts used on our pages and may receive your IP address and browser information when fonts load.
• Our payment processor handles membership payments and donations, when available.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Beor Panecha does not set any cookies of its own, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

• YouTube videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing from YouTube loads until you press play; once a video plays, YouTube may store cookies or similar data, for example to remember playback settings.
• Fonts from Adobe Fonts and Google Fonts do not set cookies on our pages.
• Beor Panecha+, when it launches, may use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to complete checkout. We will update this policy before we start using them.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so won’t affect reading our content, but some embedded features, such as video playback, may not work as expected.

6. Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires (for example, donation records for tax purposes). If you unsubscribe, we stop sending you emails. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
• Access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing us at info@beorpanecha.org. We’ll respond within a reasonable time.
• California residents and residents of other places with privacy laws may have additional rights, such as knowing what personal information we hold about you. Email us to make a request, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Children

Our content is suitable for all ages, but the Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the effective date above.
